About

Originally a math graduate these days I'm a quantitative software engineer working at a mid-sized London hedge fund dealing with fixed income trading desks. The majority of my time is spent on building and maintaining profit-and-loss, risk, pretrade analytics and market data systems. I also get involved in core platform development and devops build automation and anything else that seems interesting

Mostly I work with my first love .Net where I can and python where I can't, but also some c++ and Java when required, and a splash of SQL for good measure

Outside of work I enjoy starting (but not finishing) projects based on only where my curiosity takes me, looking at new technologies and generally learning about tech. Recently I've been playing around with an idea for multi-transport messaging layer Pigeon and a Lexer / Parser generator library NLex written entirely in .Net Core
